LYNC

Youth Work Alliance (YWA) is excited to announce it has received funding from EA Youth Service to launch the Linking Youth to New Careers (LYNC) programme. This initiative will provide 12 young people aged 18 to 21 years across the region with valuable employment and training opportunities in the field of youth work and beyond.

The LYNC programme is designed to equip young people with the skills and experiences needed to succeed in their chosen careers. Whether participants are seeking employment, further education, or training, LYNC provides a supportive pathway to achieve their goals.


Recruitment

12 positions available: Positions are spread across 11 council areas.


Part-time employment: 9 hours face to face youth work delivery over 40 weeks employment.



LYNC Curriculum

Comprehensive training: Participants will receive 120 hours of training, including:

  • Interview skills development
  • Employability and education guidance
  • Youth work induction (safeguarding, CRED training, health and safety, organisational policies)
  • OCN Level 2 Certificate in Youth Work Practice
  • Optional courses: Two courses tailored to individual interests.



Assessed Practice

Five-week placement: Gain experience in a related chosen field of interest.
